Awareness Talk: Take Charge of Your Breast Health

The aim of this talk is to encourage more women to go for regular breast health screenings and to inspire men to spread the word to the women in their lives. The session typically lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The only requirements are the ability to connect to a projection and audio system and a confirmed audience of at least 40 people to ensure the effectiveness of our outreach. We also share about the support BCF provides for breast cancer patients and their caregivers.

Synopsis:

  • Overview and Importance of Early Detection/BCF’s Programmes & Services: Live sharing by a BCF Advocate or staff member.
  • Mammogram Medical Insights and Addressing Myths of Mammogram Screening: Video recording of a doctor’s sharing.
  • Breast Cancer Survivor’s Story: Live sharing by a breast cancer survivor.

Customisation and support

The above can be customised to suit your target audience profile, event format, and programming. We can also provide an e-creative to help with your recruitment of attendees for the talk if needed.

Outreach booths

Usually paired with the awareness talk, our outreach booth requires a table to display our breast model for hands-on activity, sale of pink merchandise (catalogue available), donation box, pink ribbon pins ($5 each), collaterals, and a pull-up banner. Payment methods at the booth include cash, PayNow, internet banking, and cheque. Our volunteers will be manning the booth, answering FAQs about breast cancer and screening, and sharing information about BCF’s programmes and services.
