See the many ways in which you can join us in supporting our local breast cancer community.
BCF has a supportive community where patients befriend other patients going through the same and connect with others facing similar journeys. Connect with our dedicated befrienders for personalized guidance and encouragement.
Asking questions about breast cancer can be difficult. Over the years, BCF has built up a team of trained volunteer Befrienders to provide befriending services to those who are newly diagnosed or are currently on their treatment journey and need a listening ear. We aim to assist women diagnosed with, and survivors of Breast Cancer as well as family members and friends to cope with their feelings and to regain a sense of control over important aspects of their lives.
BCF’s Volunteer Befrienders are all breast cancer survivors. Having experienced the ups and downs of breast cancer, they are prepared to answer any question you may have.
All Befrienders are trained to assist you with your queries. Patients will be matched to Befrienders based on their diagnosis, treatment, age and specific concerns (if any).
