Many women believe breast health only becomes important later in life. In reality, understanding your breast health should start early.
By building awareness and healthy habits from a younger age, women can become more familiar with their bodies, recognise potential changes, and make informed decisions about preventive care throughout their lives.
Whether you are in your 29s, 30s, 40s or beyond, taking an active role in your health today can make a difference tomorrow.

Breast cancer can happen at any age, and younger women are not exempt.
Knowing your breasts, recognising changes and getting the right screening at the right time can make a difference.
The earlier it is detected, the higher the chance of survival. When detected early, breast cancer has a 5-year relative survival rate of over 99%. Doing monthly Breast Self-Examination (BSE) and regular screening, as advised by the doctor, is vital for early detection and timely action.

✓ A prior teleconsultation with a breast specialist will be made available for women who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria below. A suitable screening or diagnostic tool will be advised by the professional.

Supported by funding from the Manulife Longevity Institute, this three-year partnership brings together Breast Cancer Foundation, Manulife Singapore and Parkway Radiology to improve access to breast cancer screening and awareness across Singapore.
Breast Cancer Foundation drives community education and outreach, Parkway Radiology delivers professional screening services through the MammoXpress bus, and Manulife champions preventive health as part of its commitment to helping people live longer, healthier and better lives.
Mammography plays a central part in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in the breast up to two years before a patient or physician can feel them. Breast Cancer is the most common cancer among women in Singapore . 1 in 20 women has a chance of developing breast cancer in their lifetime.
The BreastScreen Singapore program recommends screening mammography for women aged 40 and above. Research has shown that annual mammograms lead to early detection of breast cancers, when they are most curable and breast conservation therapies are available.
