Under the Positive Appearance Scheme (“PAS”), BCF provides sponsorship for prostheses and bras for lower-income women diagnosed with or surviving breast cancer.
After surgery, paying for essential post-surgery items like mastectomy bras and prostheses can add even more stress to the already high costs of breast cancer.
BCF’s Positive Appearance Scheme (PAS) provides free mastectomy bras and prostheses to lower-income women, ensuring that financial challenges don’t stand in the way of your confidence after surgery.
This scheme is only available at government-restructured hospitals, and patients must be referred by their hospital’s Medical Social Worker (“MSW”).
Lower-income women with breast cancer may qualify for this scheme through an assessment and recommendation by a Medical Social Worker (MSW).
You will need to approach your MSW for an assessment based on your hospital’s criteria. BCF is unable to advise as we are unable to conduct means testing.
