Multi-Sectoral Workshop 2024

The Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF), in collaboration with Roche and the Society of Behavioural Health Singapore (SBHS), convened a multi-sectoral workshop with the aim of enhancing health outcomes for Malay women in Singapore living with breast cancer.

Improving Health Outcomes For The Malay Community

After a fruitful multi-sectoral workshop held in January this year, we, along with the Society of Behavioural Health, Singapore, and Roche, are thrilled to announce that the post-workshop report is now complete!

We are excited to showcase the insights, perspectives, and invaluable expertise shared by our attendees and contributors.

What’s Our Key Focus?

With a key focus on improving the health outcomes of breast cancer patients in the Malay community, this report aims to:
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced by Malay-Muslim women in Singapore concerning breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
  • Identify & analyse primary factors contributing to the persistent disparities in breast cancer incidence and mortality rates among Malay-Muslim women in Singapore.
  • Develop and implement a range of cross-sectoral strategies to effectively address these identified challenges.
